A single fire lit the room and shadows danced on the walls. The smaller shadow-maybe a fox female said “Its been raining for months now.”
“I know this. You do not have to tell me,” stated the bigger shadow, a male wolf.
“What do we do chief?”
“What any sensible animal should do”
“You don’t mean…..”
“Yes, we will send some of our animals to the rain animal’s den.”
“Sir who would we send?”
“Her,” the wolf stated.
“What! She couldn’t hurt a fly,” yelped the fox.
“Do I not know that already? Of course, some warriors will go with her.”
“She Wouldn’t survive.”
“She better,” the wolf replied grimly as he blew out the fire.
All was dark.
